Blackbutterfly Poetry & Art

In my high school days I discovered my love for literature and the arts, music and nature.  My mother was a school teacher and I was blessed to realize my creative potentials through her sound wisdom and spiritual beliefs.  She wanted me to become a teacher as well, as I considered back then.  My major was in English Literature and my minor was Business/Accounting.  Therefore, I would find myself working as a secretary in a large city.  After a few years, I’ve travelled the "ups and downs" of the corporate ladder.  Currently, I'm utilizing my business skills as an Executive Assistant for a large corporation.  Overall, I know I'm in the right place for business, and I am very appreciative to be where I am in the working world.  However, "on the other hand", my unwavering love for literature has always inspired my artistic nature... so I've continued to write, "free-lance" and poetry.  Endowed by the Holy Spirit in December 1983, I wrote my first  poem, 'Born Again and Free', one of a collection I would write over the years…  and eventually it was published in the National Library of Poetry Antholgy, 1996 'Fields of Gold'.  That was a very inspirational time for me, keeping me with my desires to share more of my writings with the world.  I've always believed that there is  "a time and season" for all things.  So, I'm coming into another one of my seasons.  Yes, there will be more seasons to come, because like the butterfly I will go through a wonderful experience, with a variety of newly colored dreams, dazzled by the imagination, which illustrates my grander visions, to be displayed in those amazing and meaninful revelations, we all call....words.  I love to revel in this all, as being poetry.
